Cynthia began her professional career in the health services industry and was certified as a Laboratory Technologist in 1997. Seeking a further challenge, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (obtaining High Honours) at Carleton University in 2003. Cynthia went on to graduate with an LL.B in 2010 from the University of Ottawa. As a sole practitioner her practice focused predominately in the area of family law.
At Lister- Beaupré Lawyers Cynthia offers extensive services with child protection matters, negotiating settlements, paternity agreements, marriage contracts, contested custody & access matters, uncontested custody & access matters, obtaining & enforcing child & spousal support for recipients as well as assisting payers with actions against the Family Responsibility Office as well as attending court for litigated matters.
Cynthia is an engaged community activist having volunteered on Boards of Directors with local daycare centers, coaching youth soccer as well as numerous social justice initiatives. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her children, practicing yoga and playing bagpipes with the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band in competitions and events in the Ottawa region and beyond.
